Sun 7 August
°°WALK: 8 mile circular walk to Lady Bay from John Weir’s Garden Centre, 9:30am. Meet: John Weir's Garden Centre Car Park on Clevedon Road (ST 436 716). Moderate with some climbs (Grade 2*). See: Tickenham and Gordano Valleys and lots of different wildlife habitats. Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear, and bring packed lunch and sufficient drinks. °°FAMILIES: Sand Sculpture event on Weston Beach with the North Somerset Council Rangers, 12-5pm. Meet: south of the beach and First Aid office. Details from: the Tourist Information Office 01934 888800. Free event.
°°ALL AGES: Marine Fossil Hunt: Join the Avon RIGS group and The South Gloucestershire Council Biodiversity Officer to find out about Aust Cliff’s dramatic geology and the biodiversity of the area,

Monday 8 August
°°ALL AGES:
Butterflies, crickets and the wonderful wildlife of Walborough, 10am-1pm. There will be something for children and for adults, with wildlife walks, close-up encounters with some of the smaller inhabitants of this nature reserve and the chance for kids to make and take home their own butterfly. Tuesday 9th August
°°WALK: A birding walk at Severnside, catch the tide for a chance to see smashing waders at this internationally important site, 9am. Meet: Severn Beach. Take binoculars and a telescope if you have one. There will be a telescope set up for those who don’t have their own. Book with: The Avon Wildlife Trust 0117 9177279. °°WALK: 3-4 mile wildlife walk along coast from Woodspring to Sand Point 1.30pm-5pm. See: Coastal habitats and associated wildlife along the coast from St. Thomas Head to Middle Hope and Sand Point.
